One of the sisters of my friend asked me if I was going to the camp fire sing and I said sure. Instead of asking that gorgeous young lady to sit by me I wondered aloud if she thought Sheila would sit by me. Years later My friend told me that his sister had been crushed by my comment and it took her a long time to get over the hurt. One stupid thing said and I lost a friend for life. Oh well, I found another and she and I have been together 39 years.
